Can Somebody Find Me... Somebody to Love?

A pretty creative video done by BYU-Idaho.

Declaration of Independence

I think this video speaks for itself.

Procrastination

So in the spirit of procrastinating for my freaking huge test tomorrow, I was reading back entries on a blog that I like to follow when I have time.  We watched a lot of older movies growing up, which included Labyrinth.  I know that Labyrinth really isn't that old and that it is considered more of a classic '80's film or something.  Plus David Bowie as the Goblin King Jareth?....

Anyways, the author of this blog had attended Dragon*Con awhile ago and saw someone that had a Labyrinth tattoo sleeve. Check out the detail:

Is that not pretty darn sweet?

A Gentlemen's Duel

I thought this digital short was well made and I got a kick out of it.  However, it is definitely not younger audience age appropriate.  There is some swearing and older humour.

I think one of my favorite parts was the break for tea...

Can you spot the cat?

Romeo, Romeo....

Traditionally, you hear the phrase "Romeo, Romeo, where fore art thou?"   Sometimes, this is followed up by "In the bushes.  Throw me some toilet paper....."

Driving to class from work the other day, I saw this license plate holder:

I thought it was funny and got a kick out of it. :)

Random Bumper Stickers

So my local bike shop put on a ladies night tonight at their Orem location.  During the process of driving home afterwards, I saw the following two bumper stickers:

       and

I only comment on this because this is not something you usually see plastered to a car, especially in Utah...  Plus I have always been under the impression that those who lean more towards the pagan side of things don't necessarily broadcast it but keep it more under wraps.  But I could be wrong.  I am by no means an authority on pagan religions and their do's and don'ts.

Then I saw this bumper sticker:

I find it funny because it is completely random.  I know that Robert Jordan has a huge following (I am actually attempting to reread the Wheel of Time series right now... attempting because I am in school full-time and working full-time and as a result, do not have a lot of free time so it is going very slowly...) but you don't usually see a lot of Wheel of Time paraphernalia out there unless you are at a convention, book signing, or something....  Again, I could be totally wrong here.  I am not an authority on Robert Jordan and the Wheel of Time either.

Another reason, I find this interesting is because of two other recent events concerning this series.  First, at the beginning of February, I went up to Rexburg to visit people and one of the guys that I gave a ride up there was reading this series and we ending up talking about it for a bit.  Second, sometime in January, I was in the bookstore on campus looking at the most recent release for this series (i.e. reading the flap, etc...) when two guys come up to me and we end up talking about the series and about the co-author.  Random.  And I find it interesting because I know exactly what the bumper sticker is referring to.

As Slow as a Snail

One day as I was walking to school, I ran across a snail. The snail and I (meaning mainly me) decided to do a photo shoot. This is what came out of that photo shoot.

A Wall of T.P.

This phenomenon occurred during the first week of school in the Orem Wal-Mart.

There was so much toilet paper! It just went on and on and on... I thought it was kind of interesting how much toilet paper Wal-Mart put out expecting students to buy.

Not Your Ordinary Vending Machine

These are pretty fun! My sister, Jena and I went to one located in Milwaukee. The stuff that they have in them are interesting, fun, and random. I got a pair of earrings, a mask made of mud, and a fish.

A lot of airports have these now. They are vending machines that you can buy ipods, headphones, etc... from. Out of the airports I have been in, I have seen only seen a few so far. But who knows, one of these could be coming to an airport near you!

I have to admit that this vending machine is probably one of my favorites simply because I love books! I saw one of these the last time I was in Seattle. I was out at the convention center by the Space Needle wandering around an Arabian Festival when I saw the machine. There were actually two of them and they had lots of books, some games, cards, and 2 rows of candy. It was pretty cool! I even purchased a book from the book vending machine and now I can say that I have bought a book from a vending machine. How cool is that? Pretty cool, I think!

Ode to George

He was a tank. . . Need I say more?
On the day that I got back to Provo from California, I was involved in a car accident.  I made it back to Provo around 12:30pm, had to be at work by 1:30pm, and got in a car accident by around 10:30pm.  (Maybe it had something to do with things being done on the half hour that day?)  I had left work late and was heading home.  I was heading south on University Avenue and was approaching the intersection at Bulldog Blvd.  As I was approaching, the light had just barely turned yellow and so I thought that I had time.  But then another car started to turn left (they were heading north on University and turning west onto Bulldog).  As soon as I saw them start to go, I hit my brakes and turned to the left in an effort to avoid hitting the other car but to no avail . . . we still collided.
Effectively, the insurance adjuster from Allstate said that George was pretty much totaled, which kind of sucks since that that is/was the car I was driving, thereby leaving me without a vehicle, and Dad and I have put a lot of work into George recently.  I wonder what they said about the other car.  I hit their passenger side on the lower half of both doors and pushed them in far enough that you could see the edge of the car frame.  Interesting if you consider that I was only going 35 mph previous to me slamming on the brakes, so I really was not going that fast.  Needless to say, they could not open either of the doors on the passenger side of their car.  Fortunately, I was able to drive George home afterwards and their insurance is paying for me to have a rental car so I can get to and from work, among other places.

El Bigotes (Mustaches)

On Friday, in my Spanish class, my teacher showed us this video.  Normally, I find mustaches quite disgusting. However, I just find this video really funny and quite enjoy it.
